"Kira" of the city exists in the relationship between people, objects, place and time.
City breathes. It is always repetition of erasure of existing landscape and creation of new space.
In this sequence, city receives happiness and sadness from people, and transforms in time.

However, today, I doubt that city has lost esthetic of urban transformation.
There is a tendency of scrap & build and rapid construction in contemporary life.
To against this phenomenon, how & what can we maintain or re-assemble existing materials for future change ?

I wonder how much collection of our feelings can engage with urban transformation ?
Can fragments of our memories become a part of city like a star you see at night ?
After some thoughts, I realized importance of "Kira".


「きら」は人や物事、場所、時間の間の関係の中に存在する。
まちは生きている。それはいつも「今存在する風景を消し去ること」と「新たに作り出される空間」の繰返しである。
本来、この連鎖の中で人がまちに幸せや悲しさを与えたり、時の変遷をもたらしたりする。

しかし今日、街は、本来備え持つ「変容されゆく都市の輝き」を失いつづけているような気がする。
闇雲にそして急速に生産・消費されるランドスケープに疑問を感じる。
大量にものが生まれ消え行く社会のなかで、何を残し、何を再構成させるべきなのだろうか？
それはモニュメント化された記憶の象徴にすぎないのか、それとも目に見えぬ精神なのか？

各々が持つ感情が、新たな街の変容の小さな手がかりになることはないだろうか？
各々が持つ記憶の断片が、散りばめられた星のように街の一部として輝くことはできないのだろうか？
考え始めたとき、「きら」の存在に気づいた。
