Our life is always supported by nature, and no existed without grace of the earth.
Although it sometimes bring disaster and life difficulties, people never give up the
relationship with nature and seriously listened to the voice of earth.

Coexistence of man and nature, there was always the presence of tools.
Technology has been highly developed, and manual tools are, today, replaced by automatic machineries.
Our life has become more convenient and rational.

However, the technological development has influenced on our daily life style.
“public” to “private”
In the sense of coexistence, although the relationship between man, animal and nature has been kept in longer time period, today, it became thinner and half-broken.

It is time to step back and have some thoughts for our life-style.
I’m questioning the society that going too “individualism”

What does it mean by coexistence? What is the meaning for man and nature relationship?
I believe that we should repair half-broken relationship by our hands.
As a trigger for it, once again, I want to listen to the voice of the earth.


人は自然に生かされてきた。大地の恵みはわれわれの生活にかかせない。
しかし、時にそれは、災害や困難をもたらし、人々は苦しめられもした。
それでも諦めることなく、人と人、人と動物とが助け合い、自然の声に耳を傾け共に生きてきた。

人と自然の共生、そこにはいつも道具の存在があった。
技術は進歩し、手動であった道具たちは機械化された。
私たちの生活はより便利に、より合理的になった。

しかし、それはわれわれの生活スタイルを大きく変容させるものでもあった。
「公」から「個」へ。
共生という意味において、人と人、人と動物、人と自然、今まで築かれ保たれてきた関係は気薄になった。

このままでいいのだろうか？
農作業はただ生産する行為ではなく、人や地域とのつながり、
固有の文化をはぐくむ場であったはずではないのか？
「個」に走りすぎた社会に疑問を感じる。

人と人が助け合って生きる、人と自然が共に生きる、とは？
壊れかけた関係を、止まりかけた時間を、われわれの手で修復すべきだと思う。

そのきっかけとして、今一度、大地の声に耳を傾けたい。
